Presidente Figueiredo is a certain destination for all tourists who pass through the region of Manaus. The city is about 110km far from the Amazonian capital and is reached through a nice and beautiful road, full of "igarapés" (river branches with palms and characteristic vegetation).

I had the opportunity to visit Presidente Figueiredo several times. It's known as "The waterfalls land" due to the number of waterfalls found in the region. A nice option is to stay in a hostel and spend at least two days visiting the parks, if possible with a vehicle (renting one in Manaus, for example).

My favorite park is the "Santuário Waterfall". The falls are high and the view is quite beautiful. "Iracema" and "Suframa" parks are also nice options and should not be missed. There's also the "Urubuí" park in the heart of the city which has several restaurants and other options nearby.
